Once we have spent sometime in Wentworth, it was time to give the Monster truck some much needed TLC!!
Anthony ordered a front marker light and two rear tail light assemblies that were broken during hailstorm in Broken Hill. While waiting on the parts to be delivered in Mildura, we killed sometime in the NSW/VIC/SA border region…
- From Wentworth, we crossed the Murray into Victoria and headed west, towards the Murray-Sunset National Park.
- We’ve managed to find a great spot along the Lindsay River, spending a few days there… Secluded area with dark clear water…
- Food, booze and peace… once camp was set up, we didn’t want to leave!!
- Dry firewood was easily found everywhere…
- Camp oven working in full swing!!
- Lazy arvos by the fire having a cold one!! Can’t complain 🙂
- We even put the yabbie trap in the water…
- And this time we even managed to catch o cutie mud yabbie… Back to the water you go you good thing!!
- Day two catch… again, a single yabbie, this time this gorgeous eastern blue yabbie… back to the water you too, little fellow!!
- Time to return to civilisation… we head to Renmark in South Australia…
- We find ourselves checking into a caravan park and get a cheap cabin for a couple of days by the side of the Murray – very hot days were coming and we just needed some air-con…
- Lookout over the Murray… beautiful cliffs and full view of the great Murray River… following upstream, Woolshed Brewery!!
- Murray River downstream view
- The ‘Woolshed Brewery’ has great beers but unfortunately that was my driving day :(… I had to endure Anthony having fun since I was the skipper, drinking softdrink only…
- Well, we did get a case for later… Take note!! Really nice beers (we loved ‘Judas, the dark’) and a mean hard lemonade!!
Our car parts eventually arrived so we headed back to Mildura… collected the parcel and started the Victorian leg of trip…
